Is It a Chewy or a Fidget? Both our lines of chew necklaces, SentioCHEWS and KidCompanions Chewelry, are sensory toys that are both used as a mouth fidget and a hand fidget.
Now SentioLife Solutions, Ltd. has two very different chew necklaces in its COST, FEEL and its LOOK. Children with autism (ASD), sensory processing disorder (SPD), ADHD, Tourette syndrome, Down syndrome, FASD, etc. are very sensitive to certain materials and some prefer our original KidCompanions Chewelry on the market since 2007 while others really like our new SentioCHEWS. Our newest sensory toy was launched in Nov. of 2013. What is the story behind these two chew necklaces and are they used as a chewy, a fidget, or are they both?
In 2007 KidCompanions Chewelry was designed by a mom for her child. Pierrette worked a long time to incorporate unique tactile features in her chew pendant designs to help your child be him/herself, anytime, anywhere. Then when parents and
occupational therapists starting asking our company, SentioLife Solutions, Ltd., for more durable and less expensive chew necklaces for all the aggressive chewers out there, Pierrette went to work again. She searched far and wide to find a material that was made in Canada and that was tougher than silicone. Most of the other chew necklaces out there are imported from countries in Asia and are made with silicone which makes them only suitable for mild and moderate chewers.
Finally in November of 2013 SentioLife Solutions, Ltd. launched a second line of chew necklaces called SentioCHEWS! Immediately our $9.95 (Canadian), tougher-than-silicone SentioCHEWS were a hit. We received lots of testimonials from parents and pediOT’s attesting to their durability. This
